The idea of building a capital building was Luis Muñoz Rivera’s idea. The construction started in 1925 and ended in 1929. The Capitolio of Puerto Rico is currently the House of Representatives and the senator’s offices. It is very grand with a huge dome on top and inmense colums. It is decorated beautifully on the inside and is a great place to visit.
